At Earth Landscapes we specialise in the design and creation of private gardens. Our practice is based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire and we carry out commissions both locally and nationally.
Earth Landscapes was established in 2006 by Jason Claridge. Jason has over twenty-five years' of experience in the garden design and landscape industry. He has gained a wealth of knowledge from both his work as well as formal study in horticulture and a post-graduate degree in landscape architecture.
From working in the industry for so many years Jason has been very fortunate to work with some outstanding craftspeople. This has given him the opportunity to bring together and form a small, professional and dedicated team of garden designers and landscapers.
Jason is passionate about the gardens he designs. “I set up Earth Landscapes because for me, as a garden designer, I wanted to design and create gardens that had a strong identity, belonging and sense of place as well as a strong relationship to their surroundings. I work very closely with the client at all stages of the project to create a highly individual garden.”
Planting plays a pivotal role in all of our designs and gardens as, for us, it is the plants that bring life to the garden and set the style. This in combination with bold lines, a strong architectural framework and the use of natural materials creates a harmonious balance – very characteristic of our gardens.
